Yesterday evening, Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, saw the special weekend of purification retreats and celebrations come to a close, with many centers engaging in a special puja of thanksgiving and dedication.
April 15th marks the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment in 589 B.C.E.This is an extremely important day in the Buddhist calendar because our actions are much more powerful than on other days.
The main news this week is all the centers around the world engaged in compassionate sating retreats to purify the mind – dedicated to the wellbeing of all living beings
Last weekend the IKRC Grand Canyon had the great good fortune to offer a retreat on the Uncommon Yoga of Inconceivability.
Over two nights this week, 1,000 people gathered at St George’s Hall in Liverpool for back-to-back sold out public talks on Letting Go of Anxiety with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang and Paul Jenkins.
