Day 9 ~ Families at the Festival

The Summer Festival is family friendly in many ways. At an international Kadampa Festival we meet the international Kadampa Family and see for ourselves how Kadam Dharma touches the hearts of people throughout the world – people of all ages, cultures and ethnicity.

Day 8 ~ Week 2 begins!

After a relaxing free day exploring the extraordinary beauty of the local area and chilling with friends old and new, today we return to the Temple for Week 2 of the Festival.

In week 2, we study the 2nd part of Clear Light of Bliss by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche with Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU. Meditations are led by Gen Sangden and the retreat by Gen Rabten.

Week 1 in Retrospect

As we reach the halfway point in the Festival, everyone takes a free day to rest and explore the local area. This is a good opportunity to look back over the first week and savour the extraordinary teachings and meditations – and the sheer joy of gathering as an international family.

Day 6 ~ Worldwide Community

As we enter the second day of retreat and bring the first week of the Festival to a close, it is a good time to reflect on the international nature of the community of people gathered at Manjushri KMC.

Day 5 ~ TIME FOR RETREAT

After six blissful teachings from Gen-la Khyenrab of the first part of Clear Light of Bliss, today we entered into two days of retreat with Kadam Morten Clausen

Day 4 ~ 25 years at the mother temple!

Today, August 2, twenty-five years ago Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche opened and blessed the first Kadampa Temple for World Peace at Manjushri KMC.

Day 3 ~ Clear light of bliss

Yesterday began with what we had all been waiting for – the teachings and transmission of Clear Light of Bliss!
