Over 160 people gathered at Templo Sintra for the 2019 Portugal Dharma Celebration with Guen Kelsang Chokga. The day dawned cloudy, rainy and humid, but we bathed in the sun of the radiant smiles of the people assembling for the event. These happy faces were to be a defining feature of the entire weekend. It was such a joyful occasion.
Where does the money come from to build all the World Peace Temples and city Temples, create all the statues and publish all the books developed under the auspices of the International Temples Project?
The first Saturday in November is International Temples Day, a special day on which we celebrate the International Temples Project (ITP) and remember the inconceivable kindness of its founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. On this day, special events are held at various centers throughout the world to support the project. Prayers are made for the project to flourish and to dedicate it to world peace.
