After the meditations, as people congregate over lunch and in the cafés, there is an air of anticipation, with everyone looking forward to the main event of the day: the Blessing Ceremony of Buddha Amitayus, the Buddha of Long Life.
The sun is shining and it’s a delightfully warm English spring day. All day people stream in to Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in the Lake District – on coaches, in cars, by foot and in taxis. As new arrivals head to registration and get oriented, simultaneously preparations continue for the Festival to run smoothly in every area.
With only a few days until the Spring Festival starts, Manjushri KMC has been a hive of joyful activity.
Kadampa practitioners gathered in Montreal for the Canadian National Festival 2026 with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, following a well-attended public talk on inner peace. Participants received the blessing empowerment of Buddha Prajnaparamita and profound teachings on wisdom and compassion, enjoying a deeply inspiring and joyful reunion of the Canadian Sangha.
The National Festival in South Africa brought deep inspiration and blessings to Kadampa practitioners. In Durban, Gen-la Kelsang Sangden granted the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni, and the ordained Sangha took part in a Sojong ceremony, creating a deeply meaningful and inspiring event for everyone involved.
Our precious Deputy Spiritual Director, Gen-la Kelsang Sangden, granted the blessing empowerment of Arya Tara at the Fourth Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Portugal, bringing together practitioners from across Portugal and nearby countries for a meaningful and inspiring event.
Over 400 Kadampas gathered at Kadampa Meditation Center New York for the US National Festival with Gen-la Khyenrab, receiving the Prajnaparamita empowerment, oral transmission of the Essence of Wisdom Sutra, and practical guidance on integrating wisdom and compassion into daily life.
Kadampa practitioners from across Brazil gathered at KMC Brazil for the 2026 Brazilian Dharma Celebration, receiving the empowerment of Dorje Shugden from National Spiritual Director Gen Kelsang Mudita. Everyone felt renewed inspiration to protect their minds and progress toward enlightenment.
Dharma practitioners gathered in Mexico and Hong Kong for deeply inspiring celebrations centered on Buddha Vajrasattva. Through blessing empowerments, teachings on karma and purification, and guided meditations, participants strengthened their confidence in spiritual practice, purified negativities, and returned home with renewed inspiration to cultivate a pure mind and benefit others.
