Venerable Geshe-la says “Kadampa practitioners emphasise training in meditation. What is meditation?” It is an action of mind to make a peaceful and calm mind. When our mind is peaceful, we are happy all the time. We will understand that if we want to be happy we need to develop a peaceful mind. These statements are bold. We need to investigate these statements. Where do I get some of this peace of mind? A deeper look at what we think is happiness leads us to find that our happiness comes from within, not external objects.
