In Venerable Geshe-la we have found a supreme Teacher of emptiness.\u00a0 In Gen-la&#8217;s words, &#8220;His writings are so clear.\u00a0 Everyone agrees with this in the world.&#8221; \u00a0 What is even more extraordinary is that the practical, concise explanations of Buddha&#8217;s most profound teachings on emptiness given in this text are suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners.\u00a0 For beginners it makes a complex subject accessible, and for advanced practitioners it is a practical method for gaining realisations. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2023 SumF_Day3_higher_0163\" src=\"https:\/\/kadampa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2023-SumF_Day3_higher_0163.jpg\" alt=\"2023 SumF_Day3_higher_0163\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2023 SumF_Day4_0027\" src=\"https:\/\/kadampa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/2023-SumF_Day4_0027.jpg\" alt=\"2023 SumF_Day4_0027\" \/><\/p>\r\n<h3>THE TRUTH OF OUR BODY IS IT&#8217;S EMPTINESS<\/h3>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.com\/embed\/medias\/jul40z68ay\/swatch\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><\/p>\r\n<h3>feature video ~ The meaning of Lamrim<\/h3>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.com\/embed\/medias\/w9agg9031w\/swatch\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><\/p>\r\n<h2>Day 1 ~ It&#8217;s fun to Volunteer<\/h2>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Spring-festival2023-buddha\" src=\"https:\/\/kadampa.org\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=238,height=134,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Spring-festival2023-buddha.png\" alt=\"Spring-festival2023-buddha\" width=\"238\" height=\"134\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Just as Bodhisattvas alternate meditation with actions to benefit others, between sessions a big part of every Kadampa Festival is volunteering.\u00a0 The Festivals are entirely run by those attending with no-one being paid and yet everything runs incredibly smoothly.\u00a0 It is uplifting to see people of all ages and from all countries enjoying working together. You could say instead that the Festivals are run on cherishing others!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Through volunteering we get to put the teachings immediately into action and also to see the possibility of a truly harmonious society where everyone is practising cherishing others and training their minds.\u00a0 We also see just how interdependent we all are.\u00a0 Although we may be working hard in one area, as Gen-la Khyenrab reminded us, we still need everyone else doing all their various jobs for the Festival to function.<\/p>\r\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"2023 SumF_Day4_0060\" src=\"https:\/\/kadampa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/2023-SumF_Day4_0060.jpg\" alt=\"2023 SumF_Day4_0060\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Summer_Festival_2023_day_4_7\" src=\"https:\/\/kadampa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Summer_Festival_2023_day_4_7.jpg\" alt=\"Summer_Festival_2023_day_4_7\" \/><\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>&#8220;Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet other people and you feel part of the Festival doing it.
