International Summer Festival

The Summer Festival is a special spiritual holiday when we
can receive extensive teachings from Venerable
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
During the first week Geshe Kelsang will grant Je Tsongkhapa and
Dorje Shugden empowerments and give teachings on the practice of
Heart Jewel, which will be followed by a three-day meditation retreat.
In the second week, Geshe Kelsang will give transmission
and teachings on Mahamudra practice over four days. This will be
followed by a two-day Mahamudra meditation retreat.
The Festival ends with a play based on the life
of Buddha Shakyamuni.

Healing Medicine for the World

The International Kadampa Buddhist Festival - US 2006 offers us
the wonderful opportunity to receive teachings and empowerments
directly from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, at a well-known resort
only two hours outside of New York City.
There are three main events at the Festival. First there will
be two days of teachings on How to Solve our Human Problems. Following
this Venerable Geshe Kelsang will grant the Medicine Buddha empowerment
and give a commentary to the practice.
On the last day of the Festival,
there will be the Blessing and Opening of the nearby First US Kadampa
Temple, as well as the Festival Play.
