Above all else, the annual Summer Festival is a special opportunity to receive teachings directly from Geshe Kelsang Gyatso - the Founder and Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition, the International Kadampa Buddhist Union.

As the Teacher primarily responsible for the revival of Kadampa Buddhism in our time, he is a prolific author of books on Buddhism and meditation, and the Spiritual Director of nearly 800 centers and groups around the world.

Geshe-la was assisted at the Festival by senior disciples who have trained under him as Meditation Teachers.
