German Festival 2008 ~ Blessing Ceremony of KMC Germany

This year, our national Festival began on Protector Day in August and lasted for five days, and for the first time, it was held at the site of our KMC Germany. Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, our Deputy Spiritual Director, was invited to grant the Empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, and gave a beautiful commentary to our Prayers for Meditation and the Guru Yoga of Buddha Shakyamuni. The Festival ended with a two days retreat led by Gen Kelsang Ananda, the National Spiritual Director of Germany.

Nordic Dharma Celebration 2008

The second Nordic Dharma Celebration took place on the 18th to the 22nd of April 2008 in Stockholm, Sweden. The event was held at a peaceful retreat centre just outside the capital, in the beautiful archipelago landscape of water and woodland. Gen Ananda granted the blessing empowerment of Arya Tara, gave teachings on wisdom and compassion and guided a two-day Tara retreat.
