France was blessed this week with the arrival of Venerable Geshe-la at the Chateau de Segrais, home of KMC France. Dedicated volunteers have been working for over eighteen months restoring the Chateau, completing this first phase of work on the very day Geshe-la arrived. Sixty people were fortunate enough to be present at the blessing ceremony which marks the official opening of our newest KMC. On Sunday the 26th of October Venerable Geshe-la presided over this special blessing ceremony at KMC France with a Wishfulfilling Jewel puja – heartfelt prayers to our Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden.
In the beautiful and inspiring meditation room, with Buddha Shakyamuni behind him on the shrine, Venerable Geshe-la gave a short teaching to the community before beginning the prayers. Venerable Geshe-la told us that KMC is a palace, – not an ordinary palace but a holy palace. This special KMC, will be the basic foundation for future development of Kadam Dharma throughout France and throughout the world. He thanked us for preparing this, the source of happiness for living beings – because Dharma Centres like KMC France give people the opportunity to study and practice Dharma and to acheive real lasting peace and happiness – the real meaning of human life.
Thank you Venerable Geshe-la for your kindness in opening this precious Kadampa Meditation Centre. May many people in France and throughout the world benefit from your kindness.
