Australian Dharma Celebration 2008 ~ Review

Over the Easter weekend KMC Australia hosted the Australian Dharma Celebration. Over 150 visitors came from all over Australia to enjoy a meaningful spiritual holiday. Gen Rabten, Australia’s National Spiritual Director, granted the empowerment of White Tara and gave powerful and inspiring teachings based on Chapter Four in Shantideva’s Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life.

The Celebration was a wonderful opportunity to deepen our understanding of Shantideva’s heartfelt advice as well as to renew friendships amongst our ever-growing Australian Kadampa family. Melbourne’s weather displayed an uncharacteristic generosity which allowed everyone the opportunity to discover the many quiet and peaceful places throughout KMCA’s beautiful natural environment. We all look forward to meeting again for the Australasian Festival with Gen-la in December.
